As a local independent candidate, my focus is and will be on improving Aston. I will be a voice for Aston, not a voice for a political party.

As discussed in an earlier post, I am committed to improving Public Transport Services to Aston.  This would examine extending the tram service from Burwood to Wantirna South and examine the viability of an elevated trainline to Rowville.

From a facilities perspective, I am getting regular feedback on the fact that current facilities are not fit-for-purpose.  I am advocating for a $30 million three year fund ($10 million per year) to assist local groups and clubs work with Council to improve the facilities.

I note a recent comment on Facebook that if you go to Yarra Ranges, their facilities are so much better.  It is time Aston received our fair share and not being constantly overlooked – which it has been by both major parties.
