I have been asked a couple of times whether I am a “Trump” supporter. To dispel any myths and misinformation, my position is as follows.

Donald Trump was democratically elected by the people of the United States as their President. He was not elected by the people of the world to be a world leader, far from it.

Donald Trump’s treatment of the Ukraine war and his misrepresentation of the Ukraine President as the cause of the war is wrong.  He is clearly trying to appease Russia and gain solace from their Oligarchs at the expense of the Ukrainian people.

Donald Trump’s plans for Gaza amount to genocide and is totally unacceptable.

As you may have seen I am a supporter of the CANZUK alliance (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and United Kingdom).  The desire of Donald Trump to annex Canada, a sovereign nation and ally, is totally wrong and I stand in full support of the Canadian people.

Donald Trump was elected and is answerable to the American people, not us, and I respect the will of the American people, but I have concerns about his desires for areas outside of the United States.

I am answerable to the voters of Aston.  I know that some voters in Aston are strong supporters of Donald Trump, and this post will sway any support for me.  I make my position clear to allow voters to make an informed decision, let’s hope the major parties also make their positions clear, whichever way that may be, because at the moment it is not clear.
